North News

  • New security procedures in place at North
During school hours, all North Elementary visitors will now need to push a button on a new call box to request entry to the school. Office staff will view video of the entrance and speak to the visitor before opening the door.  Visitors will then proceed to the office to check in. The safety of your students is very important to us and we are happy to add this additional level of security. Please call or email us with any questions or concerns.

District News

  • Participate in Medicaid Local Services Plan Survey

School District 27J is currently in the process of revising/updating what is referred to as the Local Services Plan. This plan guides how revenue generated via Medicaid billing may be expended within the district. Although the Special Services Providers are the individuals who bill for services provided, the revenue must be made available to ALL students throughout the district. 27J is inviting you to participate in a needs survey that will be used to determine if and what revisions may be necessary as we submit the next Local Services Plan. The deadline to complete the survey is March 5, 2015. Click here to participate.

  • Parents encouraged to make sure children have current immunizations

As you may have heard on the news, the United States is experiencing a large multi-state measles outbreak that includes Colorado. Measles is a serious respiratory disease (in the lungs and breathing tubes) that causes a rash and fever. It is very contagious. In rare cases, it can be deadly.
In light of this recent outbreak, this would be a good time to make sure you and your children are up to date on your immunizations, especially the MMR vaccine that covers measles, mumps and rubella.
If you would like more information, please visit www.tchd.org/DocumentCenter/View/1618 or http://www.cdc.gov/vaccines/vpd-vac/measles/fs-parents.html
