  • New Leadership at Brighton Heritage Academy-

    27J is pleased to share that Kenlyn Newman has been selected as the principal for the newly restructured Innovations and Options Campuses, which will combine resources from Brighton Heritage Academy, BOLT Academy, Bridge Program and the Flex Expelled Students Program.  Kenlyn most recently served as the Director of Student Engagement Initiatives and Intervention Services in Adams 12.  Prior to this role Kenlyn held a number of positions which have prepared her for this unique new job.   Those include having served as the principal at Pathways Future Center in Adams 12, as a manager for the Adams County Youth Initiative and as the Assistant Director for Dropout Prevention and Recovery in Jefferson County School District.  Her path has also included work as an instructional coach and as a teacher.  Kenlyn and her husband Chris live in Thornton and have three wonderful kids.

     

    Together, Kenlyn, Jennifer Alexander and Kate Blair will serve as the leadership team for the Innovations and Options Campuses.

  •  27J Combines Resources to Provide Additional Options for Students-

    27J is pleased to announce that Brighton Heritage Academy, the Bridge Program, and BOLT Academy are coordinating to provide the just right innovative choices for students from online to face-to-face options and everything in between. While the three schools are combined under one leadership structure, the missions of each remain distinct. 

     

     As part of the Brighton Heritage Academy family, your high school experience will include:

    • mentoring relationships and highly qualified teachers
    • face to face instruction
    • small class sizes
    • online credit recovery options
    • a small campus
    • additional structure and support
    • options to improve basic skills

  • School District 27J announces 15-16 free and reduced lunch criteria

    School District 27J has announced its free and reduced lunch eligibility requirements for the 2015-16 school year. Application forms will be mailed to all district households. Click here for additional information including household size and income criteria.

  • Apply online for vacant 27J Board of Education seat

    The School District 27J Board of Education is seeking applicants to fill its vacant Director District 4 seat. Former Director Michael Landwehr, who had served on the board since 2013, resigned after he moved out of the area he was elected to represent. The board is now looking for interested applicants to fill the vacant position. Click here for more information and to apply online.

  • Preschool applications being accepted for 2015-2016 school year

    Colorado Preschool Program applications are now being accepted for the 2015-2016 school year.  27J offers CPP to a limited number of 4-year-old students who have identified family risk factors that affect their overall school readiness. Please click here for more information.
