  • 27J Board of Education Recognizes Home Builders' Contributions for Schools

The 27J Board of Education recently recognized the contributions made by several Home Builders to help fund the construction of future schools. The 27J Board thanked the top six contributors to the Capital Facility Fee Foundation (CFFF) at their April 25 meeting. D.R. Horton has been the top contributor since the CFFF was established in 2001. They consistently contribute a capital facility fee for every lot they build on in each of the four cities in the District. This helps to mitigate the impact of new houses bringing student growth into the District. D.R. Horton has contributed over $2.8 million and is currently building in Brighton Crossings, Quebec Highlands, Turnberry and High Point at DIA. Other top contributors recognized were Richmond American Homes (Reunion, Buckley Ranch, Brighton Crossings), Shea Homes (Reunion), Lennar (Amber Creek, Orchard Farms), Meritage Homes (The Preserve, Indigo Trails), and Brookfield Residential (Brighton Crossings).
