I am a native to Colorado, I was born and raised in Thornton. I graduated from Horizon High School where I went on receive my B.A. and teaching license from Metropolitan State University. I then began teaching 5th grade in Adams 12 while simultaneously earning my M.A. in Literacy, Curriculum & Instruction from the University of Colorado at Boulder. I remained in Adams 12 for 8 years until 2014 when I took a break from teaching to stay home and raise my children. I couldn't stay away from teaching for long! After 2 years at home I returned to teach 3rd grade in a part-time position until I moved to Brantner where I have been back in 5th grade since 2018.
When I'm not teaching, I enjoy spending time and camping with my family, reading, RZR riding and watching the Denver Broncos WIN!
