Ms. Sandy Fuller

Hello! My name is Sandy Fuller, and I would like to take this opportunity to tell you a little about myself. My father was in the Air Force so I grew up all over the U.S. attending five elementary schools, two junior highs, and two high schools. I’ve lived in Maryland, Florida, Arizona, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Texas, Alabama, New Mexico, California, and overseas in England. I've lived in Colorado since 2004, the longest I've ever stayed put in one place!
I attended the University of Florida for a year when I was 17 and remain a loyal Gators fan to this day. I received my bachelor’s degree in Journalism from Texas Tech University and my master’s degree in Education from Chapman University in California. I began my teaching career in 1997 and have taught 4th grade, 3rd grade, 2nd grade, 1st grade and Kindergarten. This will be my 24th year of teaching and my 17th year at Second Creek.
I have an 18-year-old son named Tyger who attended Second Creek for all his elementary schooling (during which time he was shorter than I am) and he recently graduated from Horizon High School in Adams 12. He is currently in Basic Training for the Army Reserves and plans to attend Metro State in Denver. We have a 13-year-old mini-dachshund named Rocco. I enjoy doing too many home improvement projects that take way too long (I've been in the middle of a master bath remodel for almost a year), building furniture, shopping at Target (too much says my checking account!), traveling, photography, hiking, camping, and thinking of creative ways to teach that makes learning fun for my amazing students.
