  • While 27J Schools will not be holding classes on Monday, many local organizations are offering Monday programming for students of many ages. The following information is shared as a resource for parents. The programming and events listed on this page are not sponsored by School District 27J.

    Who: Ages 6-17

    Join the Brighton Recreation Center for fun-filled Mondays packed with a variety of programs! The Recreation Center will offer programming for all school-aged youth to work in cooperation with 27J Schools academic schedule. Participants have free admission to the Recreation Center on the days they are enrolled in RecPlay programming.

    What: Life Balance Group for High School Students

    Who: Teens currently attending high school

    Topics: self esteem, motivation, relationships and more.

    What: RedLine is a youth athletic training facility. At RedLine, we use the term “Passion with Purpose”. This means, we are passionate about making you a better athlete first, but with a purpose of making our athletes better adults in the future!

  • Shopneck Boys & Girls Club (Brighton) will be open on Mondays from 7:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. for a fee of $20 per child per Monday. This excludes recognized company holidays and closures. Program highlights: homework help, sports & games, STEM programs, cultural arts, teen programs, daily meals and snacks.

Snapology S.T.E.A.M. and Robotics Camps

    What: S.T.E.A.M. and Robotics Camps

    Cost: Monthly cost (four Mondays): $200 Reunion Recreation Center Members; $205 non-members

    Do you think you know everything there is to know about Minecraft® and more? In Snapology’s EPIC Minecraft®, you are going to be put to the test. Your knowledge is going to be challenged in games of crafting and creating. What ideas can you create in EPIC Minecraft® - perhaps something that you nether thought of before. Come see if your skills are worthy at Snapology's EPIC Minecraft®!


    Space Wars (afternoon):
    Robotics inspired by Star Wars® and space travel! Come on an adventure building and programming functional robots using LEGO® bricks in this super-fun program. Learn about space, space travel, and of course--Star Wars®! Build different robots each day! Learning is enhanced through the use of laptops in this class!

    Snapology Monday S.T.E.A.M. Camps will provide a variety of class options throughout the fall schedule. Themed classes from 9:00 a.m. -12:00 p.m. A supervised break for lunch between 12:00 - 1:00 p.m. Students will need to bring a packed lunch. A robotics/engineering/coding class from 1:00 - 4:00 p.m.
