  • While 27J Schools will not be holding classes on Monday, many local organizations are offering Monday programming for students of many ages. The following information is shared as a resource for parents. The programming and events listed on this page are not sponsored by School District 27J.

Colorado Adventure Point

  • Where: Colorado Adventure Point (10455 W. 6th Ave, Lakewood CO 80215)

    What: Start your week off right this school year with dynamic adventures plus hands on learning in a variety of skills at Colorado Adventure Point. We are offering a program called “Monday Mad Scientist Camp” for students in the 27J school district. Each day, campers will work together to solve challenges designed to teach scientific thinking, ethical decision making, and leadership skills needed in daily life and in STEM career fields. In addition, youth will have the opportunity to experience thrilling Adventure Zones as they learn about rock climbing, archery, robotics and more! Each day is different and many of the lessons will build on each other. This is a great way to apply what the youth are learning in school.

    Who: Ages 5-12

    Time: Monday 9am-4pm, with options for before care (7am-9am) or aftercare (4pm-6pm) for an additional $30

Pennock Center for Counseling

    This 4-week class will focus on helping teens rise to the challenge of their demanding lives by introducing new coping skills and stress management techniques.

    What: RedLine is a youth athletic training facility. At RedLine, we use the term “Passion with Purpose”. This means, we are passionate about making you a better athlete first, but with a purpose of making our athletes better adults in the future!

Shopneck Boys & Girls Club (Brighton, CO)

  • Shopneck Boys & Girls Club (Brighton) will expand its services to accommodate 27J School District’s impending transition to a four-day school week in the 2018-2019 school year. Beginning Monday, August 20, 2018, Shopneck Boys & Girls Club will be open on Mondays from 7:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. for a fee of $20 per child per Monday. This excludes recognized company holidays and closures. Program highlights: homework help, sports & games, STEM programs, cultural arts, teen programs, daily meals and snacks.
