    Collaborative Community

At Brantner we work together to accomplish our goals and to problem solve. Everyone is equal and this equity allows us to build relationships, make difficult decisions, speak openly, share ideas and to think critically. Only together can we grow both as professionals and as human beings. Our collaborative community allows us to empower and support one another through any challenge we face.

Brantner’s tradition of a collaborative community is evident in our:

    • Monday Morning Hallway Huddles
    • Weekly Team Planning
    • Coaching and Reflection
    • Open and Clear Communication
    • Interactive Professional Development
    • Flapjack and French Toast Fridays
    • Essential Pieces and Thank Yous
    • Thanksgiving Dinner and Holiday Love Boxes

     Collaboration

    Intentionality

Here at Brantner EVERY MINUTE MATTERS! Everything we do as a building has a specific purpose. Our UIP goals, professional development, data collection, and learning logs are all aligned to model our intentionality. We expect the learning in every classroom to be intentional which is why we place so much importance on backwards planning, the workshop model, and thinking strategies. We have a very limited amount of time to spend with each other and our students, let’s make it count!

    Intentionality

    Thinking

Every person that walks through our doors is expected to THINK! We believe that the amount of rich thinking opportunities we offer students has a direct correlation to students’ ability to achieve a deeper level of understanding and ability to transfer learning. Share and model your thinking with your students and teammates. Be open to new and creative ideas. We all bring different experiences and perspectives to Brantner. It is this diverse thinking that makes us successful.

    Thinking

    Positive Intent

Always assume that people have the best interest of our students, staff and community in mind at all times. Consciously choose to assume that the people you work with have good intentions, that they are operating to the best of their ability, and that they are trying as hard as they can at all times. Positive intent makes us better listeners, doers, and teammates.
