In partnership with our families and the community, 27J Schools EMPOWERS EVERY student today to take control of their future

    Transition is the process of preparing students for adult life after high school.  These services offered to students with disabilities are focused on supporting students achieve their goals for higher education & training, employment, independent living and community participation.  In 27J, this planning and instruction begins during the student’s 8th grade year.

  • Transition Learning Center:  The 27J Transition Learning Center is located at 60 S. 8th Ave., Brighton, CO 80601.  This program is designed to provide instruction and services to students with disabilities ages 18-21 who require additional skill development related to the Post School Outcomes documented in their IEP.   Students will be exited and receive their high school diploma when they have achieved their post-school IEP goals or at the end of the semester in which they turn 21.
