Equity means ensuring everyone gets what they need to be successful, acknowledging that not everyone starts in the same place and different people need different support. Equity in education is crucial to our mission of empowering every student today to take control of their future tomorrow. This requires 27J Schools to strive to ensure that all students have equitable opportunities to take full advantage of their education.

27J schools raise expectations for all students to meet or exceed grade level competencies, provide additional services and support, and remove any actual or potential barriers that might prevent some students from equitable participation in certain courses or academic programs regardless of race, religion, gender, disability, English language ability, perceived intellectual ability, sexual orientation, past academic performance, family income or educational-attainment levels, community affluence, geographical location, or school facilities.

This commitment is reflected in the concept of the "Thinking Classroom," where students actively engage and prepare for the future. New graduation requirements emphasize core instruction and academic standards, ensuring that all students, regardless of background, have the resources and opportunities they need for success in the workforce, military, or higher education.
