27J offers free summer breakfast, lunch for kids

27J Schools will offer free breakfast and lunch for kids this summer, from June 8 through July 31, at three convenient district locations along with a weekly meal pick-up site.

Breakfast: 8 to 9 a.m., Lunch: 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., Monday through Friday

• Northeast Elementary, 1605 Longs Peak St., Brighton
• Stuart Middle School, 15955 E. 101st Way, Commerce City
• Vikan Middle School, 879 E. Jessup St., Brighton
• Meal pickups, 10 to 11:30 a.m., Thursdays Only (June 11 - July 30), Henderson Elementary, 12301 E. 124th Ave., Henderson [Participants must sign up here every week by 3 p.m., Wednesday.
• No meals served Friday, July 3.

Breakfast and lunch free to children (ages 1 to 18). Adult meals are $4 for breakfast and $5 for lunch.

Healthy meals are provided, based on USDA nutrition guidelines, and no application or proof of income is needed.
