Electronic Flyer Approval and Distribution Process

27J Schools works with Peachjar to improve our school-to-home communication to deliver digital flyers directly to parents. Instead of schools sending home paper flyers in student backpacks, parents can have digital flyers sent directly to their email as well as viewing them on school websites. Flyers can be accessed by clicking on the Peachjar logo found on each school's website. School and district approved digital flyers are designed to keep you informed about upcoming events and programs. Please read our Approval Guidelines below.

Our district cooperates with community groups and organizations that sponsor activities of an educational/enrichment nature for students by distributing materials electronically via Peachjar. As part of our efforts to be more environmentally friendly, embrace innovative technology, and maintain fiscal responsibility, we have transitioned from paper to electronic flyer delivery. This service is available to community organizations during the regular school year only and is not available during the summer.

Using Peachjar

Creating An Account

If you or your organization are new to Peachjar, follow the steps below to start sending your flyer(s) to 27J schools.

Set Up Your Peachjar Account

Register for Peachjar as a Program Provider. Any organization not directly associated with School District 27J is considered a Program Provider.
Once you have registered:
- If the program/service you are advertising does have a cost associated with it, you will need to purchase credits in order to send flyers to our schools. This can be done from your account's Peachjar dashboard under "My Credits".
- If the program/service you are advertising does not have a cost associated with it, contact Peachjar's support team at (858) 997-2117 option 1 or email support@peachjar.com and have them verify your account for no-credit distributions.

Send Your Flyer

From your Peachjar account dashboard, click "Post & Notify"
Upload a PDF file of your flyer (8.5" x 11" preferred).
Check that the text in the ADA description box matches the text in your flyer. Make any necessary corrections to the description.
Fill in your "Flyer Details" including Title, Event Location and Start Date (as applicable), and Description.
Choose the most appropriate category and subcategory for your flyer.
Choose the duration and start date for your flyer's distribution. Note: For each school you would like your flyer sent to, Peachjar requires 5 credits for the first month and 3 credits for each additional month.
You can also add "Learn More" or "Call-To-Action" buttons/links to your flyer.
Choose the 27J schools you would like your flyer delivered to.
Review the details of your flyer and submit!

What Happens Next?

Your flyer will be sent to district staff for approval. Once approved, your flyer will be sent to parents at the school(s) of your choice and posted to the website(s) of your chosen school(s).

Distribution of some approved flyers may be postponed up to 1 week in order to coincide with schools' flyer distribution schedules. 27J staff will use discretion when the same or similar flyers are submitted multiple times in a short period. A general rule of thumb is the same or similar flyers will not be approved for distribution to the same audience multiple times within a thirty (30) day period. 27J staff reserves the right to defer repeat flyer distributions within longer time periods.

Flyer Guidelines

FLYER APPROVAL GUIDELINES

General guidelines for flyer approval are as follows:

All flyers are submitted through Peachjar and are then reviewed for approval through the communications office.
Priority will be given to programs and services that are based in Colorado, specifically the Denver-metro area.
Advertised activities must provide social, recreational and/or educational value to students.
Material must not advocate a religious or a political viewpoint.
Material must not discriminate or use offensive language.
Materials that solicit funds to support programs or events outside 27J Schools may be denied on a case by case basis.
Advertisements for fee-based services, such as private tutoring, music lessons, etc. will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
In an effort to keep flyers relevant to all parents, and to decrease the amount of approval requests received, submissions for similar programs and/or services will be considered on a bi-monthly basis. Exceptions to this guideline are available for organizations promoting free programs on a case-by-case basis.
All flyers to be distributed shall bear the name and contact information of the sponsoring entity.

NOTE: Flyer approval does not constitute endorsement. Approval simply means the material has been reviewed and meets the guidelines for district-wide electronic distribution

DISCLAIMER FOR NON-DISTRICT FLYERS:

The following waiver will be automatically added below flyers submitted by outside organizations: "This program is not sponsored by 27J Schools. Approval to distribute flyers is a community service rather than an endorsement." Flyers will be automatically submitted to the District for review and approval. For questions or more information on the flyer process, contact Janet Najar at 720-685-7607. Outside organizations will need to accept this disclaimer upon requesting approval from Peachjar.

27J Schools reserves the right to rescind approval to any organization or person if a complaint is received of the organization or if the person is found to be in violation of posting policy from the Communications Department.

NOTE: Distribution of flyers submitted by community groups and outside organizations may be delayed to match school communication schedules. Flyer Accessiblity Requirements

Peachjar's digital content now complies with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0 A & AA standards! These are the guidelines by which the Office of Civil Rights requires the school district's digital content to comply with.

What does that mean? It means that both emails sent to parents through Peachjar, and each school's Peachjar flyer page, are now be compatible with screen readers and other assistive technologies. Furthermore, Peachjar has undergone an extensive audit with Monsido, a leading web accessibility scanning tool, to ensure that our content is up to these standards.

Please note: In order to accomplish this, the text from your flyer will be copied into an editable text box. For best results, we recommend your flyer meets the following requirements:

Be 1-4 pages in length (required). Learn more about how to send longer flyers.
Contain clear and legible text in size 12 font or larger.
Not be a scanned or copied document.

Flyers that do not meet 2 or 3 CAN be distributed, but since the software may not recognize the text, you may be required to copy/paste or type the text into the description box. Additionally, please note that embedded links within your flyer will no longer be supported. Learn more about including links with your flyer.
