No. IntelliSee adds an additional layer of automated monitoring to our existing safety program. It does not replace SROs, visitor management, safety drills, or any other current protocol.
Through the support of our community, 27J Schools has made substantial investments over the past several years to enhance student and staff safety including:
- Secure building access
- New security cameras
- School Resource Officers
- Safety Check weapons detection systems
- Crisis response planning
- Emergency drills
- Partnerships with local law enforcement and emergency responders
- Ongoing staff training
The purchase and implementation of this new AI software - made possible through state grant funds - is another step to combine multiple layers of prevention, preparedness, technology, and trained personnel to create the safest possible learning environment for our students and staff.
