Response Protocols & Trainings
Standard Response Protocols (SRPs)
27J Schools and other school districts and emergency response agencies in Adams County use the five Standard Response Protocols for emergency response. All schools conduct drills to practice these protocols.
Emergency Response
One of the most critical elements of school safety is understanding how school staff and first responders will act during an emergency. At 27J Schools, we take emergency planning seriously and work with schools, district leaders, and first responders to ensure students and staff are prepared for the unexpected.
Communications During an Emergency
During an incident, information will be sent out through the district's mass notification system. To ensure you receive notifications for your child’s school, make sure your contact information is kept up to date in Infinite Campus. You can do this by logging into your IC Parent Portal account or contacting your child’s school office.
Information may also be available on our district website and social media accounts, based on the type and severity of the incident. We recommend following the official social media accounts of the school district and your child’s school.
Please do not reach out to the school or district during an active incident. Communications will be sent out as soon as possible as the situation unfolds.
