Mr. Ken Borden

There is currently a lot of pressure on teachers in this country to create better learners and to prepare students more thoroughly for their own futures. This can only mean that there will be more pressure placed on students by those teachers, asking them to perform, in and out of the classroom, to a greater level than ever before.

As I ask for your help, it is only fair that I let you know a bit of my qualifications. I have been a carpenter and work-a-holic, building houses with my dad since seventh grade. I was in the radio and sales businesses for about 15 years. I have been in the Denver Public and the Brighton 27J school systems for another 15 years. I continue to learn how to better communicate with others through reading, writing and speaking. I am a screen writer and a writer of poetry and short stories by hobby, and I love to share my knowledge of the English language and its power. I have seen amazing things from students who are willing to use their time and their brains wisely.

I really believe the saying below, and that all people should have the right and the opportunity to learn.

Some people are more talented than others. Some are more educationally privileged than others. But we all have the capacity to be great. Greatness comes with recognizing that your potential is limited only by how you choose, how you use your freedom, how resolute you are.Greatness comes by your attitude. We are all free to choose our attitude.
