Welcome to my page! I am excited to start my 4th year here at Prairie View High School.

I work with Colorado Youth for a Change (CYC) a non-profit organization who is solving Colorado’s dropout crisis. I am at PVHS every day of the week providing support to 9th graders who are failing 1-2 core classes. I work directly with the student and collaborate with teachers and staff to reduce any barriers and help the student be successful. The areas of focus are organization and test-taking skills, advocacy, goal setting, academic planning, and study methods. 9th grade is a crucial year and research shows that one core class failure decreases the chances of graduating by 20 percent.

I was born and raised in Denver, Colorado. I graduated from Colorado State University with a bachelors degree in social work and a minor in Spanish GO RAMS!! After graduating, I went on and completed a term with AmeriCorps through CYC in which I helped youth who struggled with attendance. My passion for education grew and I knew I wanted to continue helping students.
