Ms. Chris Johnston

I am a local kid, born in Denver and raised in Northglenn, Colorado when the suburbs were just starting to be developed.  I graduated from Northglenn High School and began my long college career.  My first ambition was to become a professor of sociology and after graduating from CU Boulder I entered the Ph.D. program at Columbia University.

Living in New York City was great!  I learned many things during that time, including discovering that my true love is teaching.  I also learned that I missed my family and the mountains more than I imagined I would, so I returned to Colorado and decided to become a public school teacher.

My passions include continuously learning new things, technology and gadgets of all kinds, promoting social justice through inclusive education, and spending time with and appreciating my extraordinary family.

I have an incredible and funny teenage son attending college at CU Boulder, a dog who thinks he's a man (Scooter), a cat who thinks he's a dog (Mr. Merow), and an orphan cat who wanders the neighborhood doing as she pleases because she belongs to everyone and no one at all (Creepy Kitty).

I am very happy to be at PVMS working with the good people of this community.
