• School District 27J will open two new schools on one campus for the 2018-19 school year. Riverdale Ridge High School will open next year supporting grades 9 and 10 while Rodger Quist Middle School will open on the same site serving grades 6-8.  The following are frequently asked questions related to enrollment and transportation for the 2018-19 school year.


  • Which grades will Riverdale Ridge support for the 2018-19 school year?

    Riverdale Ridge will enroll 9th and 10th grade students for the 2018-19 school year and then add grade 11 for the 2019-20 school year and finally grade 12 for the 2020-21 school year.

     

    Middle school students, grades 6, 7, and 8, will also be supported on the RRHS campus but will be listed as students attending the Rodger Quist Middle School (RQMS) for the 2018-19 and 2019-20 school years.  The middle school program will relocate to its own campus for the 2020-21 school year across the street from RRHS.

  • Where will current 10th and 11th grade students enroll as RRHS will not have 11th and 12th grade?

    Current 10th and 11th grade students who reside in the new RRHS boundary area will continue enrollment in their current schools for their 11th and 12th grade school years, subject to provisions of open enrollment if applicable.

  • How do I enroll my student(s) into RRHS or RQMS for 2018-19?

    Enrollment for RRHS (Grades 9 and 10)

    Students who currently live in the Riverdale Ridge boundary area, and are attending a 27J school currently, will automatically be enrolled in RRHS for grades 9 and 10.  If you live in the Riverdale Ridge boundary area but are not currently enrolled in a 27J school, please complete a new student enrollment packet and deliver the package to Riverdale Ridge HS via Brantner Elementary's Main Office.

    If you do not reside in the Riverdale Ridge boundary area but wish to attend RRHS, you must complete an open enrollment request. See below for details on the open enrollement process

    Students who reside in the RRHS boundary area, but wish to continue to attend their current high school will have to submit an Open Enrollment - Choice of Schools application to that school's office.  

    Enrollment for RQMS (Grades 6, 7, and 8)

    Students who currently live in the Rodger Quist Middle School boundary area, and are attending a 27J school currently, will automatically be enrolled in RQMS for grades 6th, 7th and 8th grade.  If you live in the RQMS boundary area but are not currently enrolled in a 27J school, please complete a new student enrollment packet and deliver the package to Rodger Quist Middle School via Brantner Elementary's Main Office.

  • Will there be transportation (bus routes) for my student(s)?

    All students residing within the designated boundary areas for RQMS and RRHS will be provided transportation services. 

    Transportation is not provided for students who utilize Open Enrollment for their school choice.
