Mrs. Krista Bratton

Hello! I’m so excited that I get to continue my teaching journey this year at Quist. I’ve spent the last four and a half years teaching 9th grade in Denver. I will be embarking on my fifth year, while teaching 7th grade World History and 8th grade U.S. History.

I’m a Colorado native. Growing up, I spent a lot of time in the Rocky Mountains camping, fishing, snowboarding and cheering for the Broncos. Now, I spend most of my free time with my kids, Sawyer and Soren as well as my husband, Marcus.

During high school I became interested in social justice and knew I wanted to make an impact on the world. I decided the best way to do this was to become an educator. I truly believe that education is power and that all people have a right to a quality education.

I’m passionate about history and the behavioral sciences. I think it’s important to see where our stories intersect with those that came before us. It is my hope that my students can make informed decisions about the people they want to be in the present and future.

“Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world. Indeed, it’s the only thing that ever has.”
-Margaret Mead
