Hello RQMS Families!

My name is Darren Rhodes and I am excited to join your child’s educational journey. Originally from Wheatridge, I spent my free time on either the baseball diamond or the golf course. I attended Alemeda High School and then became a UNC Bear. After leaving Greeley, I accepted a Social Studies position at Vikan Middle School, thus joining the 27j team, 13 years ago. I enjoyed Vikan and had the privilege of teaching many fine young men and women. Vikan is part of who I am- I earned my Masters’ in ELA through CU Boulder and I met my wife there! We have since had two little boys who keep us busy laughing, reading stories, and playing baseball and golf in our backyard. I was thrilled to join the RQMS team as the SS team leader. This opportunity is an honor and I feel humbled in all the decision making in an effort to make RQMS the best place to instill a focus on developing the hearts and minds of 27j’s middle schoolers as well as our new staff. I look forward to growth of my own career as I gain new experiences in this role.
