Degrees and Certifications:
Bachelor of Arts Psychology Master of Arts Special Education Generalist Principal Certificate
I am excited to begin the new school year at Prairie View High School. This will be my 7th year of teaching but my first year teacher as a Thunderhawk. I will be teaching Special Education, within the Modified Integrated 1 Math class and Freshman Seminar classes.
I am a native to Colorado, born and raised in Littleton, Colorado. I received my Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and changed careers working in Park and Recreation maintenance. I then returned to school and completed my Master of Arts degree in Special Education and received my teaching certification. My first year I worked in a middle school in Pueblo, CO then moved to the high school level teaching at a high school in Fountain, CO. I went back to school a year ago completing the course work for my Principal Certificate.
My family and I enjoy being outdoors and active. We enjoy our pets and spending time with family and friends. I enjoy being busy with all sorts of projects at home and being creative and artsy.
All students enrolled in my classes will have access to the Google classroom for there specific class. The Google classroom will be an integral part in your students classes, as it will have the necessary work, resources and important information as we move through the school year.
Email is the best way to contact me, my office is is in the Library B201. My office hours are Wednesdays 2:09-2:54 and Thursdays 11:46-12:31. I encourage students and parents to communicate often and openly.
I look forward to working at Prairie View High School with you and your students.
