• CU Denver BioEngineering Empowerment Program

The BioEngineering Empowerment Program (BEEP) was created in the summer of 2020 as a way to provide opportunities and resources for high school students to gain access to engineering, medicine, and other STEM fields. BEEP is a community oriented, student-led initiative. It connects local high schools and high school students with the bioengineering program at the CU Denver and Anschutz campuses. Throughout the year, BEEP will provide mentorship, tutoring, activities, events, lab tours, presentations, and other ways for high schoolers to engage with the resources available at the CU campuses.

The program is free for any high schooler who wants to join and is low commitment – there is no application process. We also partner and work with other groups in the area doing similar work to maximize the opportunities available and have the greatest impact. Please see below for our monthly event calendar and don’t hesitate to reach out if you have any questions or want any more information! As a note: during the pandemic, everything we offer will be virtual and online.
