Cole Gelrod

A little about me: I am originally from Annapolis, Maryland, where I spent the first 18 years of my life. I attended Roanoke College in Salem, VA for undergrad, where I played lacrosse and majored in Philosophy, with a minor in Secondary Education. After graduating, I spent several months living in Australia and playing more lacrosse. I came back stateside and worked for two years at Franklin & Marshall College in PA as a Men's Lacrosse Coach and Admissions Counselor. I then uprooted my life and headed to graduate school in California at Humboldt State University, where I earned a Master's in Literature. While I worked on this degree, I taught several collegiate classes and got a taste for teaching.

After finishing at Humboldt State and getting married, we relocated to Portland, OR. In Portland, I pursued a Master's degree in Education. When this degree was complete, we decided to relocate again, and I landed a teaching job at PVHS. I love working at PVHS, where I teach College Composition 1 & 2, College American Literature after the Civil War, College Ethnic Literature, and College Introduction to Film Art. I am also the Concurrent Enrollment Chair and an Instructional Leader.
