Mrs. Susan Baber, M.Ed.

Welcome to Prairie View High School for 2016- 2017 school year.  I joined the Thunder Hawk team in January 2011 and  have a BA degree from University Of Northern Iowa and a Masters of Education from Grand Canyon University with a Generalist License in Special Education. Since 1983 I have been in the field of education and have taught a wide range of grade levels, subjects and curriculum. Currently, teaching at Prairie View High School; Freshman Seminar, and  Modern Life and Literature (12th grade) along with Learning Labs through out the day.
Teaching English is one of my favorite subjects and looking forward to exploring with students many units that include reading and writing strategies. Students will be setting goals of achievement and are expected to challenge themselves and take an active role in the learning process. The main focus is to have students become successful life long readers and writers. Please check out the website regularly for updates in all of my classes.
In my spare time I enjoy, spending time with family, gardening, biking, swimming, cooking, dog training, and participating in various historical events around the state of Colorado. Born and raised on a farm in Iowa, Colorado has been my home for over 34 years.
Please feel free to contact me anytime with any questions or concerns. Email is usually the quickest way to reach me.
I am looking forward to starting another exciting year at PVHS and working with you.
