As the principal of Northeast Elementary, I have developed a passion for leading learners. As a learner myself, I am regularly discovering more about who I am as a leader and how I can more effectively lead teachers and students. I recognize the power of knowing who we are as individuals so that we can overcome any challenge that is placed before us. It is my belief that we all have the potential to succeed. How we get there may look different for each of us but the ingredients for success are the same; hard work, humility, grace, empathy, and action. 

I have been in education for over 2 decades, beginning my career in the elementary classroom. I later earned my masters degree in educational leadership and began my administrative career at the middle school level. From there I moved on to become an athletic director and assistant principal at the high school level. While I loved working at the high school level, I found a sense of peace returning to elementary. Since leaving the high school level and moving to 27J, I have found a place where I can be a learner and continue to grow as a leader in education. 

My wife and I are both Colorado natives, living our lives on the front range of Colorado. We now have two boys who keep us busy and keep us laughing. As a family we love to camp and spend time outside. We love hunting and fishing and doing all that we can to enjoy the outdoors that our beautiful state has to offer.
