Grants from Private Sources: DD

Only the Superintendent may accept grants, gifts, or bequests on behalf of the school district in excess of $500. The title to all gifts, grants and bequests shall rest with the district and not with any particular school or department. Every effort shall be made to maintain the given item(s) within the school or department to which donated. However, no gift in excess of $500 may be accepted or utilized without prior approval from the Superintendent.

Proposed gifts, grants or bequests that involve capital improvements or structural change to any school building shall be carefully described and presented to the Superintendent as soon as feasible and prior to any commitment of acceptance.
