Interscholastic Athletics: JJI
- Students: J
The Superintendent believes that interscholastic athletic programs play a significant role in the educational development of children. Because of this, the school district provides facilities, equipment and staff for athletic programs designed to meet specific needs of students. These needs include the opportunity for every student to participate and to learn teamwork, sportsmanship and self-discipline while experiencing the benefits of physical and mental fitness, without regard to race, national origin, religion, age, sex, handicap, or marital status.
The School District's secondary schools will be members of the Colorado High School Athletic Association and utilize its constitutions and by-laws as the minimum standards for conducting their interscholastic programs.
A student may participate in athletics only if he has fulfilled the eligibility requirements as determined by the Colorado High School Activities Association. These requirements shall be made available to students.
