Negotiations Priority Objectives: HA
The Superintendent and the Brighton Education Association both agree that they shall negotiate in good faith. The term "good faith" shall be defined as an honest attempt to resolve issues which arise during the negotiations process. The obligation of good faith negotiations shall not compel either party to agree to a proposal or require the making of a concession.
Good faith bargaining shall also include the following:
- Its purpose shall be to reach an agreement.
- Parties or their representatives will meet at reasonable times and places.
- Agreement will be reached in at least some of the areas listed in Superintendent Policy as negotiable (see policy HC).
- Agreement will be reduced to writing
