Post-secondary Enrollment Option: IHCD

The Superintendent believes that students who are capable of and wish to pursue college level work while in high school should be permitted to do so when these alternatives are consistent with the student's educational plan.
Options in state law are available to high school students in grades 11 and 12 who are 21 years old or younger meeting specified criteria for postsecondary study. Any student participating in these programs shall be granted a high school diploma upon evidence that the required academic work has been completed.
Information about postsecondary enrollment options shall be made available to students and their parents.
The High School Principals or designee shall coordinate the postsecondary options with the Executive Director of School Effectiveness.
