Public Complaints Curriculum Instructional Resources: KEC

It is the responsibility of the Superintendent to provide channels of communication concerning the learning resources used in School District27J. Learning resources include instructional materials and human resources, such as speakers or presenters, used in the schools of the District. Appeals concerning learning resources may be brought by any School District27J citizen, student, parent or guardian of a District student, or by a District employee.

These challenges are to be heard by a committee of District parents, teachers and administrators, which submits a recommendation to the superintendent for his/her decision.

A challenge shall result in the withdrawal of a learning resource that has been previously approved by the Superintendent only if presented to and approved by the Superintendent.
