Purchasing Authority: DJ-DJA

The Superintendent, in conjunction with the CFO, shall be responsible for the installation and maintenance of proper internal control systems for purchasing, include but not be limited to, a purchase order system, proper verification of purchase and payment documentation, and bidding procedures.

Capital construction is the design, construction, remodeling, and renovation of facilities. Supplies, services, and construction shall be procured subject to the applicable requirements of Superintendent policies.

Design and/or construction contract awards shall be recommended to and then approved by the Superintendent or their designee.

Ownership of all materials, supplies and equipment purchased with district funds or federal funds granted to the district shall remain with the district rather than individual divisions, departments or schools.
