This letter is to inform you that a service animal will be accompanying one of our students at school and will be sharing transportation with your child each day to and from school. The service animal is highly trained to specifically aid in routine activities and is included in every aspect of the student’s life. The student’s right to be accompanied by the service animal while at schools and on district transportation is protected by law.

There will be information sessions at the school to integrate the service animal into our daily routines and all students will be informed that the service animal is a working animal and not a pet. As such, all students will be instructed on the proper procedure, conduct and etiquette pertaining to the service animal.

Should you have any specific concerns regarding the presence of the service animal on the school bus, please contact me as soon as possible.
