Demonstrations which disrupt the orderly processes of education, invade the rights of others, or threaten the personal safety or property of students shall be dealt with in the following manner.
- The principal or his designee will confer with the participants and encourage them to return to class.
- The time missed from classes will be unexcused.
- If damage occurs to school property, the parents will be expected to pay for such damage. Parents must be notified in writing.
- Law enforcement will be notified of any walkout activities, including information about planned activities. Student walkouts be monitored, but students are will not be threatened with arrest or suspension/expulsion as long as the walkout is conducted in a peaceful and lawful manner.
- Non-students will be requested to leave the school premises and, if they fail to do so, the legal authorities will be called and appropriate charges filed.
