Only officially passed motions of the Board are binding on the Superintendent.
Accordingly:
- Decisions or instructions of individual Board members, officers, or committees are not binding on the Superintendent except when the Board has explicitly delegated this authority.
- If Board members or committees request information or assistance without Board authorization, the Superintendent can refuse such requests that, in his/her opinion, require an inappropriate amount of staff time or funds or are disruptive.
