Bus Route Alerts
Bus Route Status
In the event of a bus delay caused by inclement weather or other circumstances, we will post the Bus Route Number and estimated time of delay in the box below. The Transportation Department will also send messages to parents of bus-riding students affected by the delay that exceeds 15-30 min.
Significant delays possible afternoon of 10/11
We saw a number of our morning bus routes, particularly those operating in the area south and east of Reunion (near Tower Road & Peña Boulevard), delayed significantly by traffic from an event at the Gaylord Rockies.
We are anticipating possible delays to afternoon routes as well, specifically the following: Route R Southlawn, Route 35 Southlawn, Route E Stuart, Route 21 Stuart, Route Y PVHS, Route 39 PVHS, and Route 55 Innovations & Options.
The significance of any delays will depend on how much event traffic there is as we run our afternoon routes. From what we have seen this morning, delays of up to an hour may be possible.
Unfortunately, delays to afternoon elementary routes may create a ripple effect of longer delays for the middle and high school routes that follow.
We want you to have as much advance notice as possible to allow you to plan accordingly.
If you choose to and are able to, you can of course pick your child up from school directly this afternoon. Our 27J Transportation team will send messages to families of any routes delayed this afternoon to keep you informed of your route’s estimated schedule.
We recognize this situation is an inconvenience to all of us, but we will not let it be a barrier to safely getting your child to their destination. Thank you for your patience and understanding.
