Apprenticeships
Students in 27J explore careers through our Work-Based Learning Program, which offers diverse experiences like gaining hands-on skills, participating in internships, and connecting to opportunities in apprenticeships.
Apprenticeships are a way for students to earn while they learn in a chosen career field. These opportunities offer access to nationally recognized training models that provide paid, on-the-job learning and career advancement. Apprenticeships provide youth with practical skills, industry connections, and a head start in their career field.
Students can engage in apprenticeship opportunities as a postsecondary option, or begin as early as age 16 in some programs. According to Apprenticeship Colorado, over 30% of Coloradans participating in a Registered Apprenticeship Program are between the ages of 16 and 24.
If you are interested in more information on apprenticeship opportunities, please reach out to our Work-Based Learning Apprenticeship Coordinator.
