I'm a Parent/Student

The Internship Program at 27J Schools is designed for career exploration that benefits the student and will be tailored to meet the unique needs and interests of the learner.

The student will participate in a workplace experience while interning with a mentor in a business/organization, which is reflective of the student’s career interest, while observing workplace functions and investigating the requirements of a specific career field.
Essential career skills will be correlated with soft skills and academic skills in a project-based format.
The student will participate on Mondays in an unpaid position with a business/organization for one semester and will earn 1 credit for 60 hours of internship towards graduation.
Each week the student will submit a work report to the Internship Coordinator. This documentation will be used to calculate the grade for participating in the Internship. On occasion, the student may be asked to attend an event on an evening or weekend to enhance their learning experience.
As part of the Internship Program (Internship), students will participate in a training program prior to Internship placement. This training includes professionalism, business communication, and workplace etiquette.
Students will learn resume writing and interviewing skills.
Students will participate in interviews with potential Internship Sites prior to placement in an Internship.
During the Internship, students may not be paid for the work they perform. After completion of the Internship, students are welcome to seek employment with the Internship Site.
