27J Schools Demographic Update
During the September 25 Board of Education meeting, Bob Templeton with Templeton Demographics presented information concerning the district enrollment growth trends. The presentation covered economic conditions in the Denver-metro area, enrollment growth and current and future residential development and growth.
Highlights include: new home sales in 27J have grown 30% in the past two years, groundwork is currently underway on approximately 10,900 lots within our District and enrollment in 27J is projected to reach over 22,000 by 2023. Demographic Update - September 2018
Brighton High’s Ted Halbert Named to Prestigious NEA Global Fellowship
Brighton High English Literature and Theater teacher Ted (Edward) Halbert has been selected by the National Education Association (NEA) Foundation to participate in the 2019 Global Learning Fellowship (GLF). The NEA Foundation Global Learning Fellowship increases access to global training and experiences by providing global education professional development opportunities for K-12 public school educators. School District 27J is pleased to announce that former student and current South Elementary Assistant Principal Kristen Puzio has been selected to take over as school Principal after Kay Collins retires at the end of the school year. Read more.

Board of Education recognizes Reaching Out "Apprentice" Award recipients
Everyone who has started a position or occupation begins as an Apprentice. That person usually has the knowledge of a subject, but actually learning the skills of the trade and the work environment is a new learning curve for that individual. Learning those subtle proficiencies that are needed to complete a project or interact with other people or students. The apprentice has learned from the master therefore can use those learned skills in other projects that will come in the future of the apprentice.
With 27J’s “construction” theme for this school-year’s Reaching Out Awards, the Board of Education recognized employees who are new to the district or new to a different job position since July 1, 2017.
27J celebrates Earth Day by announcing nearly 100 trees saved using Peachjar
School District 27J is committed to environmental conservation. In an effort to better serve the community while saving trees, 27J switched to digital flyer delivery with Peachjar in 2017. Since its inception, 27J has saved 799,917 sheets of paper and 96 trees! Read more.
