The 27J Schools’ Board of Education officially named Will Pierce as its next superintendent. The unanimous vote taken during its Wednesday night business meeting, marked the board's conclusion of a district-wide search process for the next leader.

The timeline for Pierce to assume his new position lets him work closely with current superintendent Chris Fiedler throughout the coming school year. Wanting to maintain stability in the organization, the board has allowed for a thorough, year-long onboarding process. The leadership transition occurs July 1, 2024.
