Grace Bird named new principal at Prairie View Middle School

Grace is a familiar leader at Prairie View Middle as she’s been an assistant principal there since 2019. In that role, she’s overseen school program implementation and she’s been a leader in setting the academic environment at the school. 

“We’re thrilled to have Grace’s expertise at Prairie View Middle School as the new principal and champion for student achievement,” Superintendent Chris Fiedler said. “Over the years Grace has earned a reputation as an expert in using achievement data to evaluate programs and performance in order to make remarkable improvements.”

Prior to coming to Prairie View Middle, Grace was an assistant principal of instruction at STRIVE Prep in Denver from 2018-2019. Before that, she was an assessment and data liaison and interim assistant principal for Adams City High School in the Adams 14 School District, Commerce City, from 2015-2018.

In addition to having school administrative experience, Grace also has classroom teaching experience in Colorado as a social studies teacher. She was at Kearney Middle School in Adams 14 from 2012-2015, and she taught social studies at Montbello High School in Denver from 2010-2011.

Grace officially begins her new role on July 1, 2022.
