27J Superintendent nominated for Charter Hall of Fame

27J Schools is pleased to announce that Superintendent Dr. Chris Fiedler has been nominated for the Colorado League of Charter Schools Hall of Fame in the category of Charter School Authorizer. The only other nominee in this category is Dr. Terry Croy Lewis, Colorado Charter School Institute Executive Director. Finalists will be notified in February and awards will be given out to winners of each category at the 2019 Colorado Charter Schools Conference on Friday, March 1.

“27J Schools has a long history as a charter school authorizer and has fostered positive and meaningful relationships with all five of our current Charter School partners,” said 27J Schools Superintendent Dr. Chris Fiedler. “We believe all students deserve options and should be able to take advantage of all the educational opportunities afforded to them. Our Charter School partners have been invaluable in meeting our community’s educational space needs over the years as we have grown as a school district serving 5,000 students in 1999 to over 18,000 in 2019. I am honored to be nominated for this prestigious award.”

The Colorado League of Charter Schools is a non-profit, membership organization dedicated to supporting the charter schools in the state. The League is committed to helping these schools reach higher levels of student performance and overall success by providing information and resources, including technical support, advocacy, public relations assistance, and much more.
