Cindy Ritter named new Principal of Thimmig Elementary
We are pleased to officially announce that Cindy Ritter has been selected as the new principal of Thimmig Elementary School.
Cindy served as a teacher for 12 years in Arizona and then in 27J Schools. Since 2007, she has served as an instructional specialist for our Student Achievement Department before being selected for this position. As an instructional specialist, she supported leaders in schools to actualize the thinking classroom, as well as coaching our teachers in high quality instructional strategies resulting in positive student achievement.
Cindy is excited to serve in this new role. “It has been a dream of mine for quite some time to return home to Thimmig since helping open the school in 2002 as a math teacher. I look forward to building positive relationships with the staff, students and community and to inspire leadership and voices as we grow together.”
Cindy earned her bachelor of arts degree from the University of Wyoming in 1993. From there she went on to Northern Arizona University and earned her masters degree in education in 2000. She also earned her certification in educational leadership from the University of Denver in 2004.
Cindy is a very passionate and collaborative leader with a clear vision for student learning. She can’t wait to engage the staff and community in building upon the incredible work that Candice Reese has accomplished in her tenure at Thimmig.
We’re confident in Cindy Ritter’s leadership and her commitment to our Thimmig community. We are proud to announce her as principal and are excited to see her put her skills and experience to work supporting our students, families and staff.
