Ana Marlatt named new principal of Second Creek Elementary

We are pleased to officially announce that Ana Marlatt has been selected as the new principal of Second Creek Elementary. Ana proved herself more than worthy of this position through an exhaustive three round interview process that concluded Tuesday afternoon.

Ana Marlatt is a familiar face to the students and staff at Second Creek, as she has been the assistant principal there for the past two years. She is crazy about the students at Second Creek. She believes deeply in the staff and in the potential that stands in front of them. She appreciates the families and the larger community involvement and can’t wait to reconnect with all Bison when we return to school in the fall.

Ana has served the larger 27J Schools since 2005. She has been an exemplary educator serving 27J Schools as a teacher and as an instructional coach prior to joining the Bison staff in 2019. Ana said, “This school is an incredible place, filled with amazing students, staff, and so many supportive families standing with us. The Second Creek community is truly amazing. I am honored to be the next leader of Second Creek, and am excited about what we can accomplish together.”

Ana earned her bachelor of arts degree from Regis University. She went on to the University of Colorado, where she earned her masters degree in curriculum and instruction. She also earned another masters and endorsement in educational leadership from Regis University in 2015.

We are proud to announce Ana Marlatt as principal of Second Creek Elementary and are confident in her leadership.  Just like Ana, we can’t wait for next year.
