Spring Parent Survey

Please take a few minutes to complete the survey linked below. The information collected in this survey helps us be more intentional as we plan for next year. Because we are not sure what next  year will bring any feedback we can gather from you at this point is critical.  Last semester, we had record participation for this survey and the information helped in better serving students in the second semester. We are hoping to match or beat 60% survey completion this semester. https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSd4bomiUidUcut0V3lgivwIyjfG_2WIuzbSGNIKKLzKtDYIoQ/viewform

CMAS Testing

CMAS testing is scheduled to take place in April. These important state assessments measure students’ progress towards the Colorado Academic standards. Now more than ever, the results of this assessment will help us plan to best meet the needs of all PVMS Tigers. The Colorado State Legislature has introduced a bill that would reduce testing to only one subject per grade level. 6th and 8th graders would participate in the Math assessments and 7th graders would participate in the ELA assessments. For our in-person learners this would mean just two days of testing in April and for our virtual students, just one Monday in April.  We are waiting for further information from the state and will communicate that as we get it.

Kids Eating Lunch

Our brains need food! Please chat with your TIGER about the importance of eating lunch. We are noticing a larger number of students each day who are choosing to opt out of eating lunch, we predict that this is making learning a little more difficult for them. Please encourage your TIGER to either get a lunch (it is free) or bring a lunch each day. Thank you for your support with this.

Device Overload

While we have been concerned for many years now about students’ potential over exposure to electronic devices, the need to monitor this has become even more important this year as they spend a significant amount of their school day learning online. Please take time to check in with your students about their computer and cell phone usage late at night and early in the morning. We are

COVID INFO to report: Korri Stauffer is our PVMS COVID-19 Site Coordinator. Please reach out to her with questions, concerns, or health updates. If your student has symptoms at any point, please contact Ms. Stauffer immediately - it is easier to deal with concerns and keeps students and staff safe the sooner we know about potential illness!
