Tuesday, March 30th


Late last week, the federal government partially approved the waivers that our state applied for to reduce standardized testing. Students are now required to take only the following assessments:

Grade 6: Math

Grade 7: English Language Arts

Grade 8: Math & Science

Testing Dates/Times for PVMS Students

In-Person Learners

April 13-16: ELA/Math Testing

April 20-23: Science (8th grade only)

*Testing will occur during school hours. Any changes to student requirements for this week re: electives, and support time will be communicated in upcoming Tiger News and directly by teachers. 

Virtual Learners

Monday, April 19 from 8am-4pm - ELA/Math (all grades)

Monday, April 26th - Science (8th grade only)

*Transportation and meals for virtual learners will be provided to those who previously requested them. 

All parents/guardians have the right to opt their student into the non-required subjects. IF you would like for your Tiger to take both Math and ELA assessments, please submit this request in writing to Assistant Principal and Assessment Coordinator Grace Bird at or fill out and have your student return the completed request on page one of the letter linked above.


Spring Parent Survey

Please take a few minutes to complete the survey linked below. The information collected in this survey helps us be more intentional as we plan for next year. Because we are not sure what next  year will bring any feedback we can gather from you at this point is critical.  Last semester, we had record participation for this survey and the information helped in better serving students in the second semester. We are hoping to match or beat 60% and as of yesterday we are at 55%. Also, not that I am competitive but there are two schools currently that have higher participation percentages than we do….so please help us meet our original goal of 60%. Thank you so much.

Supporting Students After Events of Mass Violence

As our community processes and copes following the tragedy in Boulder, we know that our students often have questions and need support from adults. Here is some information that may be helpful when talking about these types of events with your children. Please feel free to reach out if your students needs additional support.

Rockies Tickets! 

Baseball season is here! You can get tickets for the Rockies games vs. the Arizona Diamondbacks (4/6-4/8).  For the three-game series $9 tickets are being offered with no ticket fees!  This offer is online only at


        Available games are 4/6-4/8 and all tickets are sold in pods of 2/3/4
        Ticket location is best available throughout the ballpark
        Ticket limit is 8 per game
