PVMS Tiger News

Tuesday, 4/13

Today was our first day of 2021 CMAS testing and things went incredibly well. Attendance was awesome and students came to school with positive attitudes. We are confident that the rest of testing will go just as well and we are excited for the results to help us better plan to meet the needs of our Tigers. A few reminders:

Testing Dates/Times for PVMS Students

In-Person Learners

April 13-16: ELA/Math Testing

April 20-23: Science (8th grade only)

*Testing will occur during school hours. Any changes to student requirements for this week re: electives, and support time will be communicated in upcoming Tiger News and directly by teachers.

Virtual Learners

Monday, April 19 from 8am-4pm - ELA/Math (all grades)

Monday, April 26th - Science (8th grade only)

*Transportation and meals for virtual learners will be provided to those who previously requested them. Detailed Information about Monday testing will be sent on Thurs

All parents/guardians have the right to opt their student in to the additional test units that the state has excluded from grade levels this year. IF you would like for your Tiger to take both Math and ELA assessments, please submit this request in writing to Assistant Principal and Assessment Coordinator Grace Bird . All questions regarding CMAS should also be directed to Ms. Bird.

Save the Date

8th Grade Families, please save the date for our drive-thru graduation on Tuesday, May 25th. Detailed information to follow.

Attention 7th graders

Please encourage your 7th grader to complete their WEB (Where Everybody Belongs) Application, if they are interested in mentoring our incoming 6th grade students during the 2021-22 school year. Being a mentor is a key role in helping our 6th graders feel safe and welcome at a new school. Thank you so much for your support with this.
