PVMS Tiger News

April 20th, 2021

22 days of school left! It is so hard to believe that this year is coming to an end very soon. 22 days still gives us a lot of time for new learning so please continue to encourage your student’s attendance to in-person and virtual learning.

CMAS testing continues this week for our 8th graders. They are participating in the science assessment. We are also conducting make-ups for students that missed one or more testing units last week. Our students have been working so hard and testing is going smoothly. Please celebrate your Tiger for their participation in these important state assessments!

Virtual Student Testing - It was so exciting to see so many of our virtual students in-person for the first time this year! They were so happy to be here in the building with their teachers and they worked so hard.

Unfortunately, about a third of the students that were supposed to be here yesterday for testing, did not show up. It is important that we have a clear understanding of all of our learners' needs and so it is important to us that our virtual learners complete their grade-level assessments. Parents of 6th and 7th grade students that were absent yesterday will be receiving calls from our office team tomorrow as well as email communication from Ms. Bird about bringing their students in on Monday, April 26th from 8:00am to 2:30pm.

All virtual 8th graders are required to attend on Monday April 26th for science testing. If they were not here on the 19th, they will take their math tests on that day instead.

Questions about CMAS testing should be directed to Assistant Principal and Assessment Coordinator, Grace Bird at

Save the Date for Continuation!
