Happy Tuesday PVMS Families & Community!

We are expecting a snowy couple of days so please keep this in mind when it comes to student drop-off & pick-up. Some extra time may be needed due to road conditions. Please also make sure that your students are dressed properly for the weather - especially shoes and coats! Most importantly, please stay safe!

It’s Wish Month!

This week starts our annual (7th year) Make-A-Wish event.  In the last six years, PVMS has raised $25,203 for Make-a-Wish Colorado!!  We are one of the top contributors in the state out of middle school participation.  Most importantly, we have increased awareness about this important cause and how generosity and kindness can have a huge impact for all involved.

We realize many are struggling financially/emotionally but feel this is a perfect opportunity to ground ourselves in the strength of generosity and kindness.  Let's keep this strong tradition alive!  We have our online fundraising pages available for you to make a donation and share with your family.  There is a 6th, 7th, and 8th grade page, as we are having a grade level competition where students can earn a movie day with their pod if they reach $500.

Our Wish Kid this year is Ali.  She is 11 years old and from Thornton, CO!  She is battling cancer and her wish is to go to Disney World.  Help us make her and wish kids' across Colorado wishes come true!  We will have a spirit week next week (February 8th-11th) to help us raise money.  Students have the opportunity to pay $1 each day to their advisory teacher to participate.  If you are not able to give monetarily, students can also give an act of kindness each day.

Each day next week represents one of Ali's favorite things:

Tuesday: Sports Day

Wednesday: Wear Orange Day

Thursday: Disney Day

Friday: Pajama Day

Another way to support is to eat Pizza! Check out this coupon for a discount at Papa John’s.

Student Lunch Delivery

Parents are more than welcome to bring their students lunch during the school day. We always think that it is a fun treat for students. If you do bring your student lunch, please make sure it is here prior to their lunch time so that there is not a disruption.

6th Grade 11:04-11:44

8th Grade 12:30-1:10

7th Grade 1:18-1:58

Students may NOT order lunch for themselves via Uber Eats, Grub Hub, etc. This is leading to too many disruptions and means that students are using their cellphones during the day which are prohibited.

Meals delivered after a student's lunch time or ordered directly by a student will be kept in the office and can be picked up after school. Students will not be allowed to eat in their classes.

We have many students with outstanding fees. We have sent fee balance notices in the mail to all families. These funds are very important to PVMS and allow us to support learning opportunities for your students. 27J policy also outlines that students may not participate in extracurricular activities, including sports, if their fees are not paid.

If your student has previously qualified for Free & Reduced Lunch you would have had some reduced or waived fees. Because meals are free for all students this year, many families did not complete this application. This application must be submitted in order to eligible program fees to be waived. Please visit this site to complete the application.

Chromebook Repair Times & Replacement Cost

With both staffing and Chromebook shortages, we are struggling to keep Chromebooks in kid’s hands. Current repair times from Dell for hardware repairs are about 6-8 weeks. Please talk to your student about taking good care of their CBs to avoid being without them and facing damage or loss charges. Minor damage like missing keys is totally avoidable!

All PVMS Students should have a working Chromebook by the end of this week. If you student does not have a CB at that time, please reach out to Assistant Principal Grace Bird at

A reminder that students are responsible for their Chromebooks at all times! Students should not leave Chromebooks outside at recess or in the cafeteria unattended. The replacement fee for a lost Chromebook is $260! Students needing replacement chargers will be charged $15.

A reminder PVMS is not responsible for lost or stolen electronic items (phones, earbuds, gaming systems etc.) Students are not supposed to have these items at school as they are not conducive to the learning environment. We will use our redirect process as well as contact home if electronic devices are confiscated by our staff. Parents and or guardians will be asked to come to PVMS and retrieve the phone/earbuds etc. Please remind your TIGER that they are not to have these items at PVMS.

Since cell phones are prohibited while at school, we ask that you please direct any necessary communication to your students through our main office during school hours. Students caught texting during school hours, even if it is with a parent, will still have their phones confiscated.

Information about this and other student rules at PVMS can be found in our Student Handbook.
