Continuation

8th grade Continuation is just around the corner!  Students should arrive at the normal time on Tuesday (8:30am).  We will be getting them in order and ready for continuation.  After continuation you will be able to take your student home with you, there will be no more classes for the rest of the day.  Also, please be mindful that we have 200 8th grade students who will be continuing and space in our gym is limited.  Please bring immediate family only.

Parking will also be more challenging as we have limited parking at PVMS.  If our lot is full, the high school has given us permission to park in their East lot and walk over to PVMS.

Chromebook Check-In

All current 6th, 7th, AND 8th  graders are required to turn in their computers over the summer vacation. This will allow us to assess inventory and ensure that all necessary repairs and replacements are completed over the summer break.

Students are expected to turn in their

chromebook
charger
case
And chromebooks should be free from stickers, etc.

8th graders will NOT keep their chromebooks at the end of the year. This is a change from previous communications. If an 8th grader wants to keep a Chromebook, their parent can pick one up after continuation. All 8th graders students will receive a new Chromebook when they start at a 27J high school in August.

Fees will be added to student accounts for missing Chromebooks, cases, and chargers.

Yearbooks

We are totally sold out of yearbooks! All extras have been sold to those on the waitlist - if you were not contacted from the waitlist, we ran out. If you would still like to purchase one, please fill out the following google form. We can only order more if we get 25 requests. If we do reach that, I will contact you via email to let you know to send in payment with your child. Yearbooks will be delivered to your home in about 5 weeks. The total cost, including shipping, will be $42. If you are still interested, here is the link! Form Link: https://forms.gle/xHjZ7uKJqpZgr1b36

2022-23 Immunization Requirements

Getting vaccinated is an important part of a student’s school readiness and keeps children from catching and spreading diseases that can make them sick and potentially disrupt in-person learning. See below for guidance from the Colorado Department of Public Health & Environment on required school immunizations.

Immunization Guidance - Spanish

Fees

We have many students with outstanding fees. We have sent fee balance notices in the mail to all families. These funds are very important to PVMS and allow us to support learning opportunities for your students. 27J policy also outlines that students may not participate in extracurricular activities, including sports, if their fees are not paid.

If your student has previously qualified for Free & Reduced Lunch you would have had some reduced or waived fees. Because meals are free for all students this year, many families did not complete this application. This application must be submitted in order to eligible program fees to be waived. Please visit this site to complete the application.

Electronics

A reminder PVMS is not responsible for lost or stolen electronic items (phones, earbuds, gaming systems etc.) Students are not supposed to have these items at school as they are not conducive to the learning environment. We will use our redirect process as well as contact home if electronic devices are confiscated by our staff. Parents and or guardians will be asked to come to PVMS and retrieve the phone/earbuds etc. Please remind your TIGER that they are not to have these items at PVMS.

Since cell phones are prohibited while at school, we ask that you please direct any necessary communication to your students through our main office during school hours. Students caught texting during school hours, even if it is with a parent, will still have their phones confiscated.

Information about this and other student rules at PVMS can be found in our Student Handbook.
