ASVAB Testing Information

ATTENTION:  All members of the graduating class of 2021 and beyond are required by the Colorado Department of Education to demonstrate competency in math and ELA in order to earn a  high school diploma. These demonstrations can be completed in a variety of ways which include earning certain scores on specific standardized tests, completing pathways, or taking college level courses.

RRHS is offering students an opportunity to take the ASVAB test as a potential way to meet these requirements.  The ASVAB is administered by all branches of the U.S. military to evaluate each potential recruit's academic ability and job aptitude.  The test is administered at no cost to students, can be taken more than once, and does not imply that the test taker wants to pursue military service.

Please complete the attached form if you are interested in testing on the February 18, 2020 administration date.  Testing will begin at 9:00 and may last up to 3 hours if needed.  Students will be excused from classes once test participation is verified.

March2Success is a free resource that can be used to help prepare for standardized tests including ASVAB and SAT by completing lessons that are generated based on your individualized pre-test results.  Use the attached link, register, and go to the, "High School Verbal and Math Skills" course to begin the pre-assessments.

Please direct any questions regarding this opportunity to Mrs. Guilliams by email at sguilliams@sd27j.net.  Students will be notified of the room location and will receive a testing ticket by February 12, 2020.
