Federal and State legislation plus a policy established by the School District 27J School Board of Education authorizes the release of names and addresses of the students to Armed Forces Recruiting Officers.
All branches of the military have requested this information in order to inform students about scholarship programs, tuition assistance, and other educational and vocational training opportunities available from the military. Service in any branch of the Armed Forces is an employment and educational alternative which high school graduates have today.
Federal, State and District regulations specify that the name, address, and phone number of your son or daughter will be released to the recruiting services unless you notify us in writing to the contrary. Please complete and return the MILITARY DO NOT RELEASE FORM to the Counseling Office no later than September 13, 2019 if you DO NOT want the information released about your son/daughter. This form is available on the PVHS website and in the counseling office.
